Do You Need a Referral for Physical Therapy?
It depends on your insurance. Many commercial insurance plans do not require a referral for physical therapy. However, Medicare does require a referral or certified plan of care from your doctor.

Will I know what is covered before my first appointment?
Yes! Our team will verify your insurance benefits ahead of time and explain your co-pay, deductible, and coinsurance amounts clearly, no surprises.
How many times will I come to PT?
After your comprehensive evaluation, your Physical Therapist will recommend a plan of care for you including the frequency and approximate number of visits.
What if I’ve already had physical therapy this year?
We’ll check how many visits are still available under your plan and whether pre-authorization is required.
My doctor referred me to another PT clinic, but I’d like to come to Bodyworks. Can I do that?
As a patient you have the right to go to any PT clinic you would like. Call us and we’ll help guide you through the process.
Do I need a referral for Physical Therapy?
Most insurance plans do not require a referral for Physical Therapy. Call us and we can help to confirm this for you.
How do I get into your parking lot?
We share a parking lot with Fargo Center for Dermatology. To access our parking lot, simply turn north from 32nd Avenue onto 43rd Street. Take your first left behind Fargo Center for Dermatology and follow around the curve to get to our parking lot.
Will my insurance pay for Massage Therapy by one of your Massage Therapists?
Most insurances do not pay for Massage Therapy, however locally some plans for employees of Microsoft and Amazons do. We do submit to those plans on behalf of our massage clients for Massage Therapy performed by one of our Massage Therapists.
Can I do both Physical Therapy and Massage Therapy at Bodyworks?
Absolutely! Many of our patients continue to come to Bodyworks for the wellness benefit of Massage Therapy after they graduate from Physical Therapy.
