Same Day & Next Day Appointments Available!

Fellas, we need to talk.

Over the last few months, I’ve noticed a trend in the clinic. Men are showing up at Bodyworks but not necessarily of their own free will. The story usually goes something like this:

  • “My wife said if I keep groaning every time I get out of a chair, she’s signing me up for physical therapy.”
  • “She told me she’s tired of hearing about my shoulder pain while I do absolutely nothing about it.”
  • Or my personal favorite: “She made the appointment for me and put it on my calendar. I didn’t realize what I was walking into until I was already here.”

Don’t get me wrong – I’m glad you’re here. Husbands of Fargo, your wives are looking out for you. But guys, let me let you in on a little secret: you don’t have to wait for your wife to drag you in by the ear to get help. That’s why we talk so often about physical therapy for men, whether it’s nagging shoulder pain, stiffness after golf, or just feeling slower than you used to, we can help you feel better.

Why Men Wait Too Long to Get Help

It’s easy to ignore aches and pains, especially when you’re busy working, raising a family, or trying to keep up with hobbies.

Many men tend to think:

  • “It’ll go away on its own.”
  • “It’s not bad enough yet.”
  • “I don’t have time.”

But waiting usually just means the problem gets worse. By the time you finally step into physical therapy, you’re dealing with more pain, more limitations, and a longer recovery than if you’d just started sooner. That’s one of the biggest reasons physical therapy for men is so valuable, it helps you stay ahead of pain instead of playing catch-up later on.

Physical Therapy Isn’t Just for the Big Stuff

A lot of people think physical therapy is only for major injuries or post-surgery rehab. The truth? We can help with so much more, including:

  • Everyday aches and pains (back, neck, shoulders, knees, hips)
  • Sports injuries from weekend activities or rec leagues
  • Mobility issues from sitting too much at work
  • Preventative care to keep you moving without pain

I’ve had countless men tell me after a few sessions, “Why didn’t I do this sooner?” To which I politely (and sometimes not so politely) respond, “Great question.” So, consider this your official permission slip: you don’t need your wife’s blessing to come see us. You can make the call, book the appointment, and take care of yourself. (And let’s be honest – she’ll probably still take all the credit anyway.)

If you’re curious about the wide range of things we treat, check out all of our services. From back and neck pain to shoulders, knees, hips, sports injuries, and more, we’ve got you covered.

Bottom line? Be proactive. Don’t wait until your wife is rolling her eyes so hard she pulls a muscle of her own. If you’ve been putting it off, now’s the time to see how physical therapy for men can help you stay active, strong, and pain-free for years to come, request an appointment today.

See you in the clinic,
