Vertigo/Dizziness & Balance (Vestibular Rehabilitation)
When life finds you dizzy or off balance, Bodyworks Physical Therapy will help you regain stability. Our vestibular and balance programs offer individualized treatment for vertigo, balance training, as well as fall risk reduction.
One of the most commonly treated conditions that causes dizziness is Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV). BPPV is an inner ear disorder that causes a spinning or whirling sensation called vertigo, abnormal eye movements, and/or nausea when the head is moved in certain positions.
The therapists at Bodyworks Physical Therapy use resources including the Dix-Hallpike test and Canalith Repositioning/Epley Maneuver to improve dizziness. These are combined with patient education and exercises that our patients can do at home to maintain optimal health. Patients usually start to feel better after the first treatment.
